Tango teachers Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda will be teaching tango dance classes at the Berkeley City Club on Wednesdays, August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th! We recommend signing up for all four dates (beginner series or intermediate series). However, drop-ins are also welcome.
Felipe and Ayano teach a very challenging beginner series, and we recommend it to everyone. It is different from other teachers’ beginner classes. The intermediate series is geared towards dancers who have been dancing weekly for three months or more, and is also very challenging.Wednesdays, August 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.
$80 general admission (series of four classes, beg. or int.)
$25 general admission (single class, beg. or int.)
$15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int.)
$40 both classes in one evening (one person)

The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions! Beginners may stay and watch the intermediate class. Intermediate students are welcome to arrive at 8:00 to practice together with the beginners.

Drinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge, across the hall from the ballroom. All ages are welcome in the dance classes.
We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Street parking is free after 6:00 pm.
